Offered for sale is an attractive full stock flintlock rifle in the traditional American long rifle style, featuring a 39” octagonal barrel and a beautifully figured tiger maple stock extending to the muzzle.
This rifle exhibits classic Kentucky/Pennsylvania styling with brass furniture throughout, including buttplate, trigger guard, side plate, and nose cap. The pronounced striping in the maple stock provides strong visual appeal and elevates the overall presentation of the piece.
The flintlock mechanism is of traditional design, with external hammer and frizzen assembly intact. Metal surfaces show a natural aged patina consistent with handling and storage, complementing the rifle’s period inspired character.
Condition is overall very good for a decorative and functional black powder rifle. The wood remains structurally sound with minor handling marks, and the brass furniture shows typical wear. This example appears to be a later production rifle built during the 20th-century black powder revival rather than an original 18th-century piece.
This is an excellent opportunity to own a visually striking flintlock rifle with classic American styling, suitable for display, collection, or black powder shooting.
