This is a beautiful and highly desirable Browning Superposed Grade I .410 gauge over/under, manufactured in 1969 during the final era of FN Belgium Superposed production. The .410s from this period are extremely scarce, especially in 28″ barrels with factory 3″ chambers and fixed Modified/Full chokes.
The gun retains its classic Browning deep bluing, engraved Grade I game scene patterns, and the iconic round-knob / Prince of Wales pistol grip profile. The wood shows strong figure with Browning’s signature hand cut checkering. The vent rib and brass front bead complete the traditional upland configuration.
The mechanics are excellent tight lockup, crisp trigger, properly timed ejectors, and clean bores. The dimensions make this an ideal field gun or collector piece: lively in the hands yet steady enough for serious wingshooting. At 6 lbs. 11 oz., it balances beautifully.
True Belgian Superposed .410s have become one of the most sought after configurations in the entire line, especially with 3″ chambers and original fixed chokes. Clean examples continue to climb in value as collectors pursue the smaller gauge Browning hierarchy.
An excellent opportunity to acquire a scarce .410 Superposed that checks all the boxes—desirable year, correct configuration, great dimensions, and classic FN craftsmanship.
